The Queen's Jubilee
Queen Elizabeth is one of the most beloved figures in Britain. She’s everybody’s favourite grandma. This year she’s celebrating her 70th year as the monarch of this country, and, to mark this occasion, there will be a four-day bank holiday from 2-5 June this year. What better place to start if you’re looking for things to do in London in summer 2022? On 2 June, enjoy the Queen’s Birthday Parade (also called Trooping the Colour) near Buckingham Palace, with hundreds of colourful guards, horses and even a Royal Gun Salute. Throughout the weekend there will be street parties and events everywhere in London. Check out the full list of events here.
Go to a music festival
The summer is meant for going out. So, why not enjoy a music festival. There’s something for everyone scheduled this summer, but if you’re a fan of the hottest pop and hip-hop music, Wireless Festival in July is just for you. There will be big stars, like ASAP Rocky, Tyler the Creator, Cardi B, and Doja Cat, and you can enjoy it all in either Finsbury Park (just 5 minutes on the tube from Ingla) or Crystal Palace Park in south London.
Notting Hill Carnival
Notting Hill Carnival is world famous as a celebration of Caribbean culture, dance, and food. This summer will be the first Notting Hill Carnival in two years. Come and enjoy the music, the atmosphere, and the unforgettable costumes. If you haven’t been before, make the carnival the highlight of your August in 2022.
